hello everyone!

My name is Elva and decided to finally start Blogging! I'm very happy that i started to write again just upset that it just took me a while. i was debating so much about it because I'm not a very good writer but hey it doesn't hurt to try, right? so I'm going to warn you ahead of time..I'm not a very good speller and i might not put the comma or period in the right spot so I'm saying sorry now :) OK lets get down to getting to know my family and myself...
I'm a 26 yr old stay at home mom of two wonderful girls, Leilani age 2 and Makaylah age 3. I wanted to start writing to talk about my daily life with my girls and to talk about having a child with special needs. It all started when makaylah was three months old she was a very quiet baby never was fussy and i always wondered if it was normal. Everyone would always tell me that it was normal every baby is different so i just brushed it off but, when it took her a longer time to hold her head on her own or to flip from tummy to back or to even look at me whenever i would call out her name  I just had a very bad feeling something was not right. At nine months we found out makaylah had a mild case of cerebral palsy. I had never heard of that before I had no clue at all what that was or meant. The Doctor was trying to explain to me what Cerebral palsy was but everything she was telling me i just didn't understand at all. Maybe i didn't want to believe there was something wrong with my little monkey.(her nickname her daddy started calling her)As soon as i got home i went on the web to see what i could find the two things that caught my attention was the seizures and the part about having a hard time walking or wont be able to walk. I started crying by then, so many things crossed my head so many things i just didn't want to think about....its taking her a longer time then most kids to do things but she is getting there and works very hard to do things. I'm so proud of her she has been through so much and is still going through alot.
IT does get very hard at times because i feel like i give more of my attention to makaylah then i do with leilani and i hate that very much but, Now its a little better because makaylah started going to school so that's mommy and Lani time. Now leilani on the other hand has been my little helper :)  she has been teaching her sister so so much!. when Lani was 9months she started to crawl and makaylah got so upset one night to the point where she learned to do the army crawl. At 10months Lani started to walk and again makaylah got so mad because she couldn't be at her level that she started to pull her self up and started standing (while holding on to something)on Christmas eve makaylah started to walk! leilani was so happy she started screaming with laughter. that was the best Christmas gift i could ever get! I'm going to end my blog for today with a happy ending. I'm very new to this and don't really know if I'm even doing this right lol. but, I'm here if anyone has any questions or just wants to talk maybe we are in the same boat or not but i would love to hear from you guys. have a great night and i will pick up tomorrow where i left off.
