continued intro..

For a three year old little girl Makaylah has been through a lot and i know things could be a lot worst, i just wish she had somewhat of a normal life...
A little after she turned two our world was turned upside down. I remember that day really well.It was late in the evening and it was almost time for the girls to go to bed. Leilani had taught makaylah how to crawl up two steps. They kept going up and down and laughing at one another because they can actually do something together. By that time it was time for there bath. I gave Leilani a bath first got her dressed and ready for bed then it was monkeys turn in the tub. I started to wet her down when I notice something was wrong, makaylah was not giggling like she normally did when she was in the tub, she was very quiet and just sitting there. the next thing i knew makaylah put her head back and her eyes were rolled back i yelled out for Jon(my boyfriend)by that time i had grabbed her from the tub so she wouldn't fall in the water. i had her in my arms and felt her whole body shaking, for some reason it clicked in my head that she was having a seizure. i had never seen someone have one just had heard what happens when people have them and what you should do when someone is having one, lay them on there side don't hold them and just let them ride it out. i called 911 by then and the lady was telling me exactly  what i should do which i already had done. It felt so long before help came i was so out of it. If it wasn't for Jon to try and calm me down i would of really had lost it. since it was her first time ever having a seizure we spent a few days in the hospital because they had to run a bunch of test and monitor her to make sure she doesn't have anymore. The Doctors finally told us she had a febrile seizure.it was her first but it wouldn't be her last. after she had her seizure at home when paramedics came that night her temp got to 104'f. she was not sick had no fever at all that whole day she was happy and playing and just being herself.i couldn't even remember the last time she was sick before then. from that day on makaylah would get seizures first then she would end up getting sick. we have been in and out of the hospitals because its harder for her body to fight what ever shes sick from. she was on Phenobarbital and is now on levetiracetam (generic for keppra)the reason why she is on the seizure med. is because of this past June, she had several seizures and was not even sick or ended up getting sick after having them. she hasn't had anymore since June so hopefully she stays that way.
